MEET ATTORNEY JUSTIN HILL
About: Welcome
Justin Hill is a zealous advocate and a true servant leader who strives to earn the best possible results for all of his clients. Justin represents individuals who are under investigation or charged with criminal offenses in courts throughout the State of Georgia. Justin firmly believes that each case deserves diligent and dynamic advocacy and every client be afforded their constitutional right to fairness in the court system.
Prior to founding The JHill Firm, Justin worked for a prominent criminal defense law firm in Atlanta where he helped represent clients in a variety of criminal and civil matters including murder, armed robbery, aggravated stalking, police brutality, wrongful death, premises liability and more. Justin also interned at the Fulton County Superior Court where he worked under the apprenticeship of the Honorable Eric K. Dunaway.
Justin’s legal experience spans nationwide. He served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Rebecca Dallet of the Wisconsin Supreme Court where he analyzed and solved complex and novel legal issues presented before the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Among the issues Justin helped solve includes a constitutional challenge to one of Wisconsin’s DUI laws. Furthermore, Justin worked with one of the nation’s most sought-after criminal defense lawyers in Cleveland, Ohio. He helped represent clients in a variety of complex criminal matters including drug trafficking, drug possession, assault and battery, internet crimes, and numerous white-collar crimes. One of Justin’s highlights in this role was helping a client receive a probation sentence after facing nearly 20 years in prison for federal drug charges. Justin also spent time working at the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office in Cleveland, Ohio in the office’s General Felony Unit. Justin assisted in the prosecution of matters such as domestic violence, weapons charges, and DUI charges. Justin also interned at the Montgomery County Circuit Court in Montgomery, Alabama where he worked under the apprenticeship of the Honorable Gregory Griffin, Sr. Justin’s legal experience across the nation and his insight into every aspect of the judicial system allows him to provide each client with unique and effective representation.
In addition to Justin’s vast array of legal experience, he is an avid legal writer with an exceptional legal mind. He has authored four scholarly articles that have been published in top law journals across the nation. His first publication, titled The Badges and Incidents of Criminality, was published in UCLA’s Criminal Justice Law Review and advocates for the abolition of all collateral consequences that follow criminal convictions (i.e. employment discrimination, housing discrimination, denial of public benefits, etc.) to give citizens with criminal histories a realistic opportunity at a second chance. His other articles have been published in UCLA’s Asian Pacific American Law Journal, the University of Maryland’s Law Journal of Race, Religion, Gender, and Class, and Ohio Northern University’s Law Review.
While Justin cannot guarantee any results to a potential client, he does make three promises to each client and their families:
Justin will always honor his word and will never make an empty promise;
The client will always have access to Justin, and he will always be responsive to communications from the client;
Once a client retains The JHill Firm, that client is part of The JHill Firm’s family. Thus, Justin will treat every client’s case as if they are a member of his family.
